Penfold Church Hall Charges
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING INCREASE IN HIRE CHARGES
From January 1st 2026 the hire charges for some facilities at Penfold Hall will increase to the level indicated in brackets alongside the current charges listed below.
After a long period of unchanged prices this has become necessary due to an increase in the costs of overheads however the Penfold Church Hall Committee believe that these new charges remain competitive compared to alternative venues in the area.
- Large Hall £15.00 per hour (£17.00 per hour from January 1st 2026)
- Small Hall £10.00 per hour (£12.00 per hour from January 1st 2026)
- Kitchen £ 8.00 per hour
- Equipment £ 5.00 per hour per item
Parties:
Weddings, Christenings and Birthday Parties etc. – Cost for hire of both halls and kitchen for up to 3 hours £90 (£100 from January 1st 2026). Each additional hour at £30 (£35 from January 1st 2026). Payable in advance.
Children’s parties (Primary school age) – Cost for hire of both halls and kitchen for up to 3 hours £50 (£60 from January 1st 2026). Each additional hour at £20 (£25 from January 1st 2026). Payable in advance.
Insurance:
While the Hall is covered for general public liability insurance, hirers are responsible for their own public liability insurance. Each group hiring the hall on a regular basis is asked to confirm that they have such insurance in place and ideally should provide the Bookings Clerk with a copy. This is necessary for all groups but is particularly important for leaders who run physical classes such as yoga, dance and drama.
Use of facilities:
Please only use the rooms for which you have booked.
The hall facilities are cleaned on a regular basis, but it is the hirer’s responsibility to leave each room as they found it, and to take away with them any waste or recycling (unless other special arrangements have been made in advance).
